If you are here, you likely share our love of Canada, of trips and excursions…
We are a couple of Canadians, AJ and Kevin, and we split our time between Ontario and Grand Manan.
We fell in love with the Island on our first camping trip. Our adventure began when we first boarded the ferry, and it continues to this day.
We spent our first night on Grand Manan at Fish Head, watching a spectacular sunset from our tent. We simply could not get enough of the Island’s magic and in time, bought a year-round cottage on the eastern side - it gives us a chance enjoy views of the Bay as the seasons change.
Grand Manan is not for everyone. If you are looking for a Vegas or Niagara Falls-like atmosphere, you will not find it here. But if you yearn to spend your spare time surrounded by the very best of Mother Nature, on hikes through spectacular trails, roaming natural beaches and coves, and eating honest-to-goodness local food, you really should consider Grand Manan as your next vacation destination. The fog horns may just charm you, the vistas disarm you, and you will never forget the dulce. Whale and bird watching opportunities abound through the summer. And as you are trekking along Red Point Trail, you just might find yourself too……
See you there!
